Living with constant pain frequently feels impossible. Life for me has been made easier by modern conveniences, Stephanie's help and the support of family and friends, but it is still very difficult.
I've recently stumbled across a method of pain management that has been working well for me much of the time. There are definite drawbacks, but I really like the prospect of being off narcotic painkillers. Opioids have dominated my existence for over five years, and I want to experience life with full faculties again — without the tremendous and unbearable pain that, at present, undoubtedly accompanies being medicine-free.
Luckily, I've been able to do almost all of my digital tasks on the iPad and iPhone 4. I can get books on my Kindle, read emails and browse the net on my iPad, as well as draw, write, take notes, shop and watch movies and TV.
Squarespace has even released an iPad app for use with their service. Why hasn't TypePad?
I hope that SAY releases an app soon. I don't like typing on my iPhone 4, and my Bluetooth keyboard is too far away at the moment. I think if I had a new MacBook Air, I'd use it for things like blogging (the Mac App Store is really sweet) and copy writing... but if I were to get a new machine, I'd want something powerful enough to run Adobe CS5, Starcraft II and the soon-to-be-released Darkspore and Diablo III. More importantly, I want to get a machine that I can hook up a WACOM Cintiq monitor to, for use with Autodesk's SketchBook.
I know this doesn't really have a lot to do with the "new topic," but it is me — my life. Just doing simple things is tough; when technology can make things just a little less painful, I'm happy. Living month to month on controlled meds is stressful at its best.

I don't like being told this is the best sound to write to, trust us. Bings and bongs with a few tinkles thrown in is fine, if you are working on something Zen like, but ruins your concentration if you are doing a zombie script. No problem; I ripped out the Zen music files and saved them to a folder, replaced that music with gritty, dirty ambient music which sets the mood for the piece I'm working on. Piggybacked on a spell checker which replaces misspelled words right in OmmWriter. Love working on this project now!:-D
I plan to "donate" because I like the program very much for getting the down and dirty ideas going.
